It’s just great to hear from all of our friends! We’d
just like to
share a few notes we’ve gotten lately.
I just finished reading "Prayin' for
Yearlin's" in Ag Roundup. Have to tell you it was the best. Thanks for all
the laughs you provide.
Kathy…. Sidney, Montana
I'm just an Ohio wanna be cowboy who really enjoys Ken's music and trail
rides my "Gunsmoke" every chance I get and always listen to his songs around
the campfire. Tell Ken to keep those good cowboy & western songs coming.
Joe …. Warren, Ohio
WOOOEEeeee! Never thought I’d ever win the monthly give away, actually I
feel guilty that I enjoyed all your “Meadow Muffins” stories, but never got
around to ordering a CD or two. Thank you ever so much for the gifts and
for the autographed poster that's a’coming. I am planning to get it framed
as soon as possible.

Hello Ken... this is Alex writing from Norway...the so-called 'cold land',
which at the moment is sweltering in sub -tropic temperatures. Just wanted
to say how much I enjoy your letters...most of them say the same things I
have been thinking of for years. I print them out...take them out onto the
veranda...and read them like regular post. So keep them coming...and thank
you for the pleasure you have given me so far.
Best wishes from Sunny Norway... Alex
My husband and I have just returned home to southern England after a truly
memorably holiday in Montana. We hired a car and drove to the National
Glacier Park for 4 days before returning home. Whilst in Apgar village
in the Glacier Park I bought "Montana in my Soul" and have been playing it
ever since! We really love it…….. With thanks.

Wanted to send a little note to encourage you to continue your stories. My
father passed away a couple of weeks ago at 87 years old. Your stories
always brought a smile or laugh to him as he could truly relate. When
he moved in to our home, I would read your "Meadow Muffin" stories to him.
I am a family historian and your stories would bring back memories of his
life that he would relate to me. I now have many, many stories in my
files that may not have been remembered by him if the promptings from your
emails had not been there - thanks.

Hi Ken…. I wish you came to Holland for a concert so we can meet someday.
I like your music. I have Prairie Poetry, Silver and Gold and Montana Cowboy.
I do like it very much. You have the “old sound” and that’s nowhere to find
anymore.
Fred…. Holland
Discovered your program on WMTL (AM-870 "The Moose") out of Leitchfield,
Kentucky. I thoroughly enjoy your cowboy music and special brand
of Western Humor. You have one of the best radio shows in the nation,
and that's coming from a former radio broadcaster with over 30 years of on-air
experience. ….I'd love to try and catch one of your concerts.
I think you're an outstanding ambassador for your music and way of life,
my hat is off to you. Thank you for the hours of enjoyment I've had
because of your show. Best wishes, and HAPPY TRAILS!!
Chester…. Mammoth Cave, Kentucky
I got to thinking about you as last night. I picked up Shootin the Breeze
again and sat there in my overstuffed chair and laughed for over an hour.
Ken, those are the funniest stories, I literally have to laugh out loud and
not a low, sweet girlish laugh. I howl. I love old Billy and
Dick. And you know when you describe what is going on, you literally
can picture all of this in your mind. It's truly great writing.
Keep up the work.
Rose…. South Dakota
Just got through listening to your radio show again. Thanks for being there.
I live in Salem Oregon and there is so much crap on TV and the radio. My
heroes have always been cowboys. My dream is to live in the breaks of Hells
Canyon country but will probably have to settle for dreaming and just hunting
there. I listen to you, Don Edwards and Waddie Mitchell always, modern day
heroes.
Jeffery…. Salem Oregon
You are so funny. We saw you when you were in Missoula last winter. Kick
in the pants. I have never seen my father in law laugh so hard in my life.
He was crying he was laughing so darn hard. THANK YOU for a great evening.
Janis…. St. Ignatius, Montana
My family and I met you at Wet Mountain Days 2003, we were performers, and
our daughters were models for the western fashion show. We absolutely
loved your performance, and there was never a dull moment while you were
the Emcee. We still laugh to this day in regards to your story about
nursing on the cow. Hannah, our 16 year old, still talks about you.
Vickie…. Durango, Colorado
I try to listen to your show each weekend on KBHB out of Sturgis, South Dakota.
Thanks very much. I enjoy your show every week.
Richard…. Gordon, Nebraska
Just wanted to say howdy. I am a new fan, on your mailing list. Ken I know
you have written a book or two and so have I. Because of my love for Cowboy
music, am telling them about cowboy singers and story tellers like you. I
would like to add you to my book. Thanks.
John…. Phoenix, Arizona
I received my books. Thanks a lot…. and I started reading right away. Finally
my husband asked me what I was laughing so hard at and I answered, “Your
book I got in the mail today.”
Rose…. Rapid City, South Dakota
I was in the audience at the MITS symposium and fully enjoyed your concert!
I do think it is time for me to win this monthly drawing though! Thanks
again for a great night of entertainment and Happy Holidays.
Jill…. Eureka, Montana
Finished your book and thoroughly enjoyed reading about you and your neighbors
.... did you ever hear the word "embellish?"
Gail…. Benton, Arkansas
We really enjoyed seeing you and Dawn there in Montpelier. Your show
was, of course, great. This time I could relax and watch it, instead
of being "in charge".
Lew…. Lander, Wyoming
Howdy, I listen to your show here in Paducah, Kentucky on 95.7. It’s great
to hear good western music, keep up the great work.
Mike…. Paducah, Kentucky
Ken, Marge and I have really enjoyed your Sunday night radio program.
It makes us feel like we are at Cody, WY for the Cowboy Songs and Range Ballads
every Sunday. Thank you for the great show.
Rick…. Great Falls, Montana
I am listening to your Cowboy Show on Radio Station KBHB at Sturgis, SD this
afternoon. I really enjoy your show so much on Saturday and Sunday Afternoons!!!
Hooray for a station that plays the real music of America!!! I saw and heard
you in person at Lemmon, SD at the Cowboy Opry, and sure loved it, too!!
Syble…. Faith, South Dakota
Thank you for one of the best lunch hours that we have had in a long time!!
We received the tapes and book and put "Montana Campfire" in while we ate
lunch. Boy, you had us laughing straight through until you started singing
the song about the Old Shep. Well, in two seconds flat tears started streaming
down my face - yep, you guessed it, when I was a little girl my mom sang
that song and instinctively my body remembered or my mind did or something
but the tears just rolled! My husband looked at me kind of funny and just
smiled. Sweet and sad memories came pouring in. In just a short time you
had me laughing again! Thank you, Ken for bringing back the memories and
adding a laugh to our day.
Tana…. Great Falls, Montana
Thanks so much for the great music! I’ve listened to the last few programs
and I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed music more. Please keep up the
good work.
Tink…. Clio, California
My husband lived and worked in Cut Bank recently and we lost him in an accident
up there November 12, 2005. He would bring me the paper with your stories
in it and we just got the biggest kick out of them! I just had to write a
little note and let you know you’ve touched some Montanan’s here in Fishtail
with your humor and to thank you for a good laugh in the midst of a lot of
sadness.
Ginger…. Fishtail Montana
Hey Ken: First of all, thanks for the effort you put in at the gathering
at Aspen Lodge. It is my belief that you are the best all around performer
I have ever seen. It was certainly the best single performance of any
one I have ever had the opportunity to watch. Great job.
Vic…. Estes Park, Colorado
It’s great that you folks have a show. I listen to it on Sunday’s here on
KIKC in Forsyth. I hope to get to you live show sometime, but the ranch life
is busy. Keep up the good work, Thank you.
